If you’ve realized that schools do not treat everyone equitably and have been looking for professional development that will empower you to take action, this is the mini workshop for you.

We’ll begin by discussing why we need Anti-Racist Classrooms and what they look like.  Then we’ll explore how to make it happen, beginning with examining whether we might be perpetuating the problem.  Next we’ll discuss how to teach and/or talk our students about race.  From there we’ll explore how to support students and colleagues of color while also getting your school and community on board.  Finally we’ll examine practices to keep the momentum going.
