If you’ve wanted your math students to engage in teaching mathematics for social justice but would like tips and examples to help you get started, then this workshop is for you.
We'll begin by discussing why you should take this journey. Then we'll discuss what our classrooms should look, feel, and sound like. From there, I'll teach you how to get started.
Next, the focus is on how to implement lessons in an engaging manner. Then we will focus on authentic assessment strategies. Finally, we will explore the larger impacts of teaching mathematics for social justice in your environment and limitless expansion.
